Gen 3 LS Flex Fuel Kit for P01 & P59 ECUs

Run pump gas, E85, or any ethanol blend in between with this Gen 3 LS Flex Fuel Kit for GM P01 and P59 ECUs. The kit allows the ECU to monitor ethanol content so a properly configured tune can automatically adjust fueling, ignition timing, and other flex-fuel parameters as the fuel blend changes.

There is no need to drain the tank or manually switch between separate gasoline and E85 tunes. Once installed and correctly calibrated, the system continuously measures the ethanol percentage and lets the ECU compensate for the fuel currently in the tank.

Key Features

  • Designed for Gen 3 GM LS applications using a P01 or P59 ECU
  • Supports pump gas, E85, and mixed ethanol blends
  • Provides real-time ethanol-content data to the ECU
  • Allows automatic fuel and ignition compensation with a proper flex-fuel calibration
  • Eliminates the need to manually switch between gasoline and E85 tunes
  • Ideal for naturally aspirated, supercharged, and turbocharged LS combinations
  • Clean solution for street cars, swaps, and performance builds

ECU Compatibility

Compatible with supported GM:

  • P01 ECU
  • P59 ECU
  • Gen 3 LS engine-management systems

Compatibility depends on the ECU operating system, wiring configuration, available input, and tuning software. Verify your ECU service number and application before ordering.

Some ECUs require a software upgrade to support flex-fuel operation. Your tuner will be able to perform this upgrade for you.

Tuning Is Required

This kit does not automatically enable flex-fuel operation by itself. The ECU must be properly configured and calibrated to use the ethanol-content signal.

Your tune should include the appropriate:

  • Ethanol-content sensor input configuration
  • Flex-fuel stoichiometric-air-fuel settings
  • Fueling compensation
  • Ignition-timing compensation
  • Cold-start and enrichment adjustments
  • Boost or power-management changes, when applicable

For the safest results, installation and calibration should be completed or reviewed by an experienced GM LS tuner.
